Yes I am still working on my photography asset skills and figured live animals would be a good point of practice. Plus for 70 dollars to visit the zoo all year why not. Its peaceful enough to walk around and literally takes 4 to 5 hours to cover the entire place.

A few more. My setup was just my A6500 and the 200-600 lens the 2.0 Teleconverter makes it hard to capture the entire animal.

Thus the problem in zoos: the background ends up with some plastic feed tub or something. I personally will just find something i like pulled in tight rather than fighting all the crap like fences, etc.: i’m guessing the viewer knows the rest of the elephant’s there, so i don’t worry a bit about making sure the whole animal is in the frame.
