i’ve been spending time in both places. The software is basically identical except for a few weird quirks. I don’t get how people complain about how one looks when they both look the same. If anything the old place is faster to load pictures and post on. Ymmv.

And yes I am a social media addict and I need to just run over my phone so that I put it down in pieces.

i haven't seen the mobile version of this site, but the desktop site is just dandy. eventually if enough tech moves over it will grow. not sure how much growth just chit chat actually generates :rasta:

it's the occasional posters in tech that are going to suck to lose if they don't bother to come across. many of those guys are just halfway hanging on to pbb as it is. threads like the GT40 inspired texas ultra4 turned rec wheeler build? highly doubt it will get swapped over here, but it would be awesome to see the conclusion.
 
I'm just hoping this new one takes on like the old, old pbb. This has been a daily routine for me for 15 some odd years now. It's not the layout, it's the sense of freedom that was taken with VS not listening or caring about it's users. It's the people that make it worthwhile and if the interesting people lose interest, you have nothing. The old one is there for old tech data if needed but I hope this one will be the future.

One thing I have noticed as the years go on is that as the Pirates get older Politics seem to be all some of them think about.

If you'll remember correctly I rarely started political threads. If you don't like them, either don't open them or rag on the people that start them.

For the most part, I think everyone is just sick of the VS bullshit over the years. I like the seamless start Irate has brought to the table. VS just don't give a fuck, so fuck them.

Irate is my new home. Haven't been back over to the pbb since I checked out last week. Erased the bookmark and will just hang here from now on. Oddly, I don't miss it at all.

Nothing odd about it really. Were it not for the same ppl on nearly the same bulletin board, it might be odd to not cruise the attitudes of the same people we've been communicating with for 15+ fkg YEARS. :laughing:

Yep. I think of it like this place is the VS update. And now there's alot of old members back on the forum.

Every toggle, every change, every day, this becomes more like the experience of olden. Would be sweet if this board could be VB 4.x.x but since it's no longer supported, the vBulletin v5.6.1 is plenty good enough. :beer:

I actually like the newer version of vbulletin better than the old one pbb was using.

I didn't erase my bookmark, just started dropping increasingly offensive porn in comments, changed my avatar to big black guy with huge fuck and the banned me for 5 days for that! Lol I wonder if they've found the other Easter eggs I've dropped? Anyway fuck VS they've sucked for a long time and this was it
