Outdoor Water Line (buried + UV exposure)

Pex a can freeze and thaw without any consequences. Pex a an and hydrant of your choice, you do want to shield the pex otherwise it will become brittle.

Not when they fail and some dickhead buried them in a wall.
Pex to copper would be easy enough if I can borrow the tool from someone

The expander is superior, but I've not had a copper crimp ring ever fail either.

If you're just going to do this one line buy the crimp tool and just crimp it. Sweat the adapter right to copper line and hook the pex to it.

You can find the powered ones used for 200 bucks or so on fbmp, if you have a brand of tool that has a powered one that’s the way to go. The local big box stores around here have started renting them as well. Pex to copper is easy peasy do it all the time, the only two ways to do pressurized water imo.

If you were local I’d lend you one of mine but I’m about ten hours from Memphis.

5 hours to Detroit, we only ever go up for supercross but that wouldn’t help you at all.

If your going to be doing future projects, which it sound like you are just get the tool, the cost of fittings pays for itself within a few projects. If you are going to do things temporarily use the brass fittings as those can be reused whereas plastic are single use.

Because where my air compressor is compared to where I’m bringing water from, I’m putting in a second pex line for air.
