Pyleit have you every flow into there? I have always wondered what that would be like assuming some of those people have never flown in that busy of airspace. I know I wouldnt want to do it until I had a lot more experience.

I am going to assume that every airplane nerd is trying to post pics
Typically, everyone posts when they get home (on here anyway)
This is on my bucket list for sure

Didn't some weird helicopter/plane thing crash today?

There was a crash. 2 fatalities. Rumor is that it was lancair stall spin turning base to final

I really like the Lancair. When I had ambitions of buying one to replace commercial travel the slow speed characteristics were the first red flag.

Would still own one if similar circumstances arose again.

Believe the Saffer compound is in full swing

I hate working on the damn things as far as the engine goes. You have to remove the intercoolers just to get the top spark plugs out and no matter what else you have to do on the engine there WILL be something in the way.
Sounds worse than the Pt Cruiser turbocharged I fixed for a housemate I had. lol

Today's potato pics

I fucking love when they manage to set up weird combos like that in those formations. P51, F4, F15 gets old.

I got to see one at Quonset that was P47, Skyraider, A4 and A10.

One year in Chicopee they had a B1 flyby and they had it go around in formation with a particular model of F16 and F15 because they all use the same engine.

I have flown in and out many times. Of course, it was in a helicopter. It’s real easy. Fly below 500 feet in from the Southwest. Go up there with all those wing things, no way.

Fuck, missing a planned trip for the second year in a row. I was supposed to fly down sunday and then on to texas friday in my uncles T28 but had to cancel last minute.:mad3:

Flew my beater is yesterday. It is interesting having a ton of guys of unknown qualifications 1/2 to 1 mile in trail stretched out for 40-60 miles all following the same path to the airport. I dropped in behind a flight of 12. Their fight lead spoke pretty poor English on the radio, could barely understand him. You’re suppose to fly 90 knots on the arrival, the guy I followed averaged 90-ish, but was fluctuating between 80-100, which made it a pain to maintain 1 mile in trail.

T210P Cessna with the intercooler stc,Worst plane ever!

Had plans to go up last weekend, Delta cancellations nixed that idea. Might give it a try again this weekend.

Yep, I've been maintaining one of those for a customer for the last 30 years and hate it.
At evrey GA airport I worked at that had a P210 we had to tow that bitch right to the on field maintenance provider anytime it left the hangar for a flight:laughing:
