Online hunters safety course for kid

Anyone have any recommendations for hunters safety online, we are stuck in California.
I am going to have my 9 year old do this then I can purchase him a lifetime hunting license for Christmas.
 
I had to retake it for my archery license about two or three years ago.

Its long and dragged out. Took a couple hours to complete. Picked up a few things I guess. I don't think you get to choose if that's what you're asking? Mine was just linked to the state's website. /shrug
 
Here they are done by the state wildlife commission and require a live fire portion. There may be an “online” section to replace the classroom portion, but you still have to show up and shoot.

In FL you’re not required to have a hunting license until you’re 16, so I believe if you buy a lifetime license before that, proof of hunter’s safety isn’t required to buy it. We bought it for our 4 year old when he was a baby, and I’m getting ready to do it for our 2 year old now.
 
In TX you dont need to pass hunters safety to buy a license. So I've been told...
