Can short out the terminals sure, but that's not easy to do while driving down the road when the problem occurs or any good for monitoring data.
I mean shorting the two to make the light flash, I know nothing "bad" will happen.paper clip is all you need sir and you won’t short any terminals out
I'm going to buy this one.
I guess searching for OBD instead of ODB is helpful .
And.... that can monitor data?Just need 2 longer wires and a toggle switch.
This... If you can't get ahold of one of those, a SnapOn MODIS is the next best thing, does 99% of the old "brick" functions. I still use ours from time to time at work...OBD1 gives you very little data, and it's slow AF at that. I have an old Snap-on red brick with the cartridges you need. It was the best tool available at the time. Let me know if your interested.
No clue truck turns on check engine light then dies. Of course never while I'm driving it or around . We just replaced the ignition module because it died.what problem are you chasing?
What did that run you? Does it only do obd1 or does it also do obd2? I need something more diagnostic than "here's a code" for both.
And.... that can monitor data?
This piece of shit doesn't monitor data. What is the fucking point of that.
All I wanted is a comparable replacement for my autoxray that died.
Ended up buying this one.OBD1 gives you very little data, and it's slow AF at that. I have an old Snap-on red brick with the cartridges you need. It was the best tool available at the time. Let me know if your interested.
Ended up buying this one.
Works great.
I had an instructor in tech school who was a Cadillac tech in the early-mid 90s, he made us learn the 2500and the Ford NGS like it was going to be an every day thing for us in 2009-2010. I've never worked anywhere that had a functional Brick, I managed to cobble one working NGS together when I worked at the Ford dealer, otherwise never touched em.Jesus, seeing that thing brings me back to the early days. It's probably older than you are.

I've forgotten just about everything about them now.
It is, you're just in the wrong place .I had an instructor in tech school who was a Cadillac tech in the early-mid 90s, he made us learn the 2500and the Ford NGS like it was going to be an every day thing for us in 2009-2010.
