What's new

Oakland,CA to Blountsville AL pulling a big trailer

I'm a salt water mexi, thought you caught on to that part....:flipoff2:

The best price I found on a decent bed was 2k and didn't wanna pay that. I'm a heeb when it comes to certain things. Figured someone would want to SRW flat bed and I'll pay almost nothing for the bed that's in better shape 🤞

Have you been to Show Low? It's at 6300+', and a ways from the 40. Hope the brakes are good on that trailer.

I'm at 6700' and can see I-40.
Highest point on 40 is the continental divide in W NM @ 7,275'. (edit: read the google wrong. Highest is flagstaff @ 7,330')

Whats your point?

Salt river canyon on the 60 will def test brakes and trans cooling!

Trailers has brakes on every axle and I've been to show low, that's why I'm going back.

If I'm gonna drive more than half way across the country, I'm always gonna try to make the detours to see my friends.

That Show Low is not an easy detour

See ya in Roswell on Friday. I second the motion to try and hit up the Pie-oneer in pietown. Valley of Fires in Carrizozo is pretty cool to look at actually. Drive safe amigo.

So plans were pushed out a week and I'm starting the journey this Thursday.

JOY, my buddy who I share my shop with asked me to pickup his dad's stuff from his brother in...... you guessed it. Albuquerque, NM <orchard garden area> on the way home from the trip. Guess I'll get the full experience that everyone warned me about.

Also what's the flies thighs to get from whataburger? Haven't eaten there in over 20 years and figured I'd give it a go and test my guts. I'm also planning on hitting a wafflehouse to try my luck:flipoff2:

Thanks again for the help

Jimbo

So is jimboys tacos but I still enjoy it every once in a great while. I'll check that spot out, thanks for the heads up.

If you are coming back down I5 and don't mind making a slight detour, you can grab that early sq body hood from me. It's still waiting.

Cool I'll try to make that happen if I'm passing by at a reasonable time. What kind of soda did you like?

They're better than jack in the box tacos but not by much. Pro tip is to only order 2 at a time because of how greasy they are.
Fuck that, Jim boys is both unique and excellent.

Jack in the box tacos have gone down hill recently, somebody several years ago decoded to make them more like the picture or use real veggies or something. Ruined those

I fucking love jimboys shredded beef tacos. No comparison to jack in the box junk.

Not greasy, uh?
Huh? No, greasy, it takes many years to get the proper amount of seasoning for the cook top to make them appropriate.

They aren't those palm sized 5$ tacos, open faced and with a pinch of meat.

They just aren't like what the taco bell or hipster crowd think tacos should be :flipoff2:
