I found this axle at a coal mine that I was working at. I know it’s a d70 chunk but it’s been either flipped or it’s a high pinion axle. They were using it in a low speed man trip. I’ve never seen one and was kinda wondering if any one else had.

Front or rear engine application? Any bom on the passenger side tube

its a trencher/off hiway d70.

Most likely wont have a bom#.

But has the best stubs and c's dana evermade.
Looks like dodge knuckles but check the pilot hub dian on the srw hubs.

Unless you can use it as is or it is very cheap
Its a good parts axle.

I tore into it and figured out a good bit on it. It’s a d70 chunk flipped with 7.17 gears. Chevy 35spline outers and the inners are around 26” long. Chevy king pin knuckles, outside looks rough. But inside is clean as a pin. Including the spindles and all. And I got it for free. So I will either flip it back and make a rear steer axle. Or rob the parts like you said. Already running d60 and 14b in my rig. So I may take my time and flip it back and build it up.

Bearing hub diameter, drive flange caps, tie rod ends, tie rod end knuckle location, inner Cs all look like 1976-79 ish Dodge Dana 60 outers with the 4.10 ratio heavy duty inner Cs.

The center is from a rear axle.
