Need a wheel bearing outside abililene TX? North of aspermont on 83 by 380

Glad we could help:grinpimp:
It may not seem like it, but it was a surprisingly big help.

Right off the bat, with providing some sense of "external" support. Really helps when the wife is suddenly wondering why her AAA is no longer valid amd trying to get quotes for a 200 mile RV and trailer tow

And even with the outside guy showing up, we would've spent the extra however many miles going to the city because neither of us figured on a town in the other direction. Internet was showing me everybody closed and the old guy called his Napa and was annoyed they were closed

Yeah, yall helped out, a bunch.

scooter2374 or Austin or Grendel or whoever for the un sticky and un help tag.

 thanks again!

I don't think some people can grasp how much of nothing is out that way. I always laugh when people suggest Uber or delivery in those parts of Texas.

Unless you get lucky and break down in a decent sized city the chances of there being a chain parts store is zero and the chances of their being a local parts store is almost zero. Just because you see a city name on a map in Texas doesn't necessarily mean there is anything but a post office, a gas station and 50-75 residents there.
My wife was miffed at me for going this way due to lack of gas stations :lmao:

I only needed 1, and it was right where I needed it :rasta:

Just getting to this, I'm packing for my own trip out west.

Glad you're rolling. Im working in the morning but if something else comes up I'm about 3 hours east of you.

If you need a free place to stay in the corner of way out of the way idaho. Let me know

I should be good now. Really, really glad I did the brakes etc before this trip. Good when things come apart and I'm not also fighting all that

I'm sure you probably already figured this out but the pair of bearings on that spindle is super fucking universal. Damn near every 2wd Ford 3/4 ton and up has used it since the 60s as you should be able to see see on any interchange tool that list applications.

At the store the guy asked what year again to make sure, and I said 1960-2006 should be fine

If only ford had never quit making the econoline, greatest chassis ever :usa:

You can still get it. DRW cab and chassis only. They made one model year for several years then refreshed it sometime in the 2020s with the modern interior parts bin
:smokin: guess that makes sense, all the motorhome chassis and busses are still that cab.

Didn't think about that

And he/they deleted your phone number while I was trying to create a new contact.

You heading down south from there, to Abilene then back to Gatesville?

Yeah, I'll be heading out of here at some point.

First time ever in a camp site with 30 amp shore power. Still enjoying the A/C over coffee this morning
For guys that have to go balls out before the sun comes up it's nice to slow down and enjoy

I'm directly East of you know on 380 in Bridgeport but still hours away and your path takes you opposite mine but if you get bound up let me know.
Trying to roll out around 1 to Amarillo.

For serious though.

20 minutes to Google and make some phone calls was not a big deal.
My wife asked me if I was doing work shit and I told her I was helping imaginary Internet friends and she understood completely.
I have a very dim view of all humanity, so any opportunity to do someone some good should be taken. Can't bitch about how shit humans are if you're not trying to be better.
