Good job guy, those snakes would have eaten more mice than that trap would ever kill. They're fucking harmless.

My rats must be too smart to fall for the bucket. I'd leave it out with peanut butter and never got one.

I found using antifreeze in the bucket instead of water works better. I guess the mice like the sweet smell, along with the peanut butter.

Same. At my old house we had some rats get into some dog food. Put the dog food in a metal can so they couldn’t get in and set up a bucket trap with dog food and peanut butter as bait. Didn’t catch one rat.

Set out a traditional snap trap with dog food as the bait. Got a new rat every day for a week using the same piece of food. Then they were no more.
