You’re going to have look around for shit sitting behind people’s barns to cannibalize for this thing. Tires and a loader off an old skid steer here, maybe an engine and hydraulic pump out of an old tractor or forklift some place else. Then weld it together and add gin poles and a winch.

Suspension that doesn't move for shit, HD frame and axles, that are geared too fucking high for street, etc.

That size and bigger tractors occasionally comes up for pretty cheap. I tried really hard a few years ago to convince myself I needed a Big Bud lawn ornament because it was for sale for $3500 in running condition. He's gonna be his whole budget into shipping it but based on the Herc he is building his expectations around it should be about right capabilities wise.
