I’d like to get my brother a spool gun for his inverter 190 so that he stops borrowing my welder, but I’m seeing conflicting info on weather it’s worth it for that size welder. He won’t be welding anything outside of the listed capacity, but I know that sometimes that doesn’t mean shit. Anyone have real world experience with that setup or something similar before I pull the trigger?

I've got an older spoolmate 100 I run on a Miller 175 once in a blue moon.
Jams up while feeding every now and then, but that could just be the 4043 wire I have in it. Mostly 1/4" and 1/8" material, no complaints on the welds, but I'm only using it for odd jobs here and there.
