I’m looking at a Miller 250 DX tig welder for purchase. It’s a later style model which they discontinued after it completely. I also own an older model series then it. What are the differences internally and is the later model better then the older series before it?

Please note that these are just reference photos, not actual photos of the units I have and looking at.

I'd say any differences are going to be more dependent on configuration (water cooler, torch head, etc) and use and care from the PO than the difference between "generations" of the machine.

Can't answer the question but I believe the big difference was integrated water cooler on the new one.

Edit: I guess the new one isn't new enough because it still has the "external" cooler sitting under it. My 250DX has fully built in cooler.

Those look new compared what I own or run at work. Probably nothing different between the two pictured.
