I really feel like this need it’s own thread here. I may have missed it if there is already a thread on it.

I have searched around for info on it and haven’t found much. Is anyone running one currently? Maybe someone has one on order.

BleepingJeep just put out a video on it. I like the idea of a smaller lighter case.

I ordered an Atlas about a month ago and still have 4-6 months to wait. I don’t think I am past the point of being able to cancel the Atlas order.

I’m interested to hear if anyone has any feed back.

woody has one I think, but not sure if it's installed or not.

With the insane amount money people put into JK/JLs I can't believe there isn't a direct competitor to the atlas. The hero is absolutely badass, but it's a beefier, bigger more expensive case.

From what I see, it is smaller over all and probably about $1000.00 more by the time it is installed. The atlas I ordered was around $2900.00 and includes a shifter. Dana 300 twin stick shifters look to be about $400.00. I’m sure I could get or make a shifter cheaper.

For my build, I am mostly concerned about over all length. I need my rear driveshaft to be as long as possible to help with angles.

I saw the same video, thought it would be a great option, then had concerns about the company failing and I’d be stuck with a transfer case I couldn’t get parts for. It was $300 more than an atlas without their aw4 adapter plate before shipping.

Even if that company goes under, it's all just D300 parts.

i didn’t think the gears they were making were stock Dana 300 parts so I may have incorr3ctly assumed them going out of business screws me out of any help moving forward. With that said, I highly doubt I’d ever break their gears if they’ve proven to be stronger than what Advanced Adapters is putting together.

$3,745 shipped with the spacer for an AW4. 1350 CV output. I need to figure out shifters on my own. I expect it could ship within a month.
$3,801 for a 4 speed atlas with shift kit for my Cherokee with 1350 outputs. I’ve read 6 months or more for shipping.

It’s hard to turn down a 4 speed when I’m rounding up to $4,000 for a fully badass transfer case.

We have teamed up with JB Conversions to bring you the absolute strongest parts currently available to make our complete Rock Box, Using our billet machined case and JB Conversions 32 spline shafts and 4:1 LoMax gear set.

It's all JB stuff, they've been around for a while, I don't think they're going anywhere.

As far as prices, I totally agree. These are MM cases are probably only going to be for guys trying to save every LB and impatient mother fuckers

I’m interested in this. Not for myself but just to see the success of it.

It seems the Dana 300 had so many weak links it wasn’t a path to go down. First it was outputs, you upgrade them to 32 spline, then it was gears, so then you upgrade to the JB lowmax gears. It seemed that solved it for most but some would crack the case. This solves that.

Sub’d for future abuse testing if anyone on here buys one!

I have a 300 with 32 spline outputs and stock gears. I worry about the case breaking too but dont think i can put that much more money into it. Also JB's gears are much stronger but i personally dont want 4to1. I have a box4rocks in front of my 300 and i dont even use it anymore, used to have a manual but swapped to auto and the stock ratio of the 300 is pretty good for me. If JB made stock replacement or 3to1's that would be awesome.

billet vs cast case? Also probably the $$ diff?
$$ most likely; lots of machine time. Density of different types of aluminum does not change that much.

Gears appear similar in size so internal dimensions must be about the same as Atlas. Extra strength of the billet must allow for a lot less wall thickness compared to the Atlas.

Presumably cost will come down if volume ramps up.

Can be swapped between driver/passenger drop without flipping and without any additional parts.

Video also says they are working on similar concept with 205 case.

It's just like the Toyota stuff, decent to start with and upgrade as you go. But starting from scratch and doing all the upgrades, its hard to justify. D300s do seem better suited for lighter wieght rigs these days.

Yes :smokin:

I'm sure it will be $$$ but that would be sweet. Maybe they can get JB to do some other ratios for the 205 also.

Personally, I'd like a smaller case like the D300 in a 2:1 for a doubler, but I'm not holding my breath for that.

I know someone who actually got the NP205 Colossus from Behemoth recently. I don't know how on top of stuff they've been since the company was bought out, but they appear to be doing better. $2395

Badass, but I guess that's a chunk of change just to save a few lbs

That is a bad MAMA JAMA.

The ability to switch side to side is awesome.
i wish you could with the atlas without flipping it upside down or replacing the case, im pondering a future build and i would need to convert my atlas from pass to driver

Some of the guys talking about the 300 cases breaking...I would like to think that the cases that are breaking are from a certain era.

I had one in my old jeep on 46's that I beat the hell out of (would break yokes all the time) and never had a problem with the case...Same thing with a buddy,,,He actually broke a JB gear set, but never the case.

Either way the box is bad ass and at this point will give ATLAS a run for the money.

I mean come on.

A billet case over a cast case...It's a no brainer.

Looks like AA needs a meeting.

Put an ECO box in front of it and now ya have a four speed.

Pretty sure the ATLAS planetary doesn't get away from the ATLAS.

i remember it having a stak for some reason

and i agree
I had bought a STAK to put in a Buggy I was building but ended up putting it in the Jeep.

What a mistake that was:shaking:

I still have that case and the parts to fix it, I blew it up on the wood pile in my front yard a bunch of years ago.

I have Atlas and Dana300 gears on the shelf and they aren't the same size. Atlas ones are bigger, no doubt.
AA isn't about to change anything, they can't keep up with the demand, as is.

I recently got a SCS with a magnum doubler. Straight beef. Less than 1:1 ratio in high. 10/10 would recommend.

my favorite thing I have ever heard is that you can only have 2 out of the 3 options I’m about to list

Cheap
Strong
Light

I’ve got strong heavy shit....and everytime I start to consider weight savings like lightweight brakes or a billet case, and the list can go on forever on how to save weight but I swear it’s $800 to shave 30-40 lbs. I’m too cheap to spend 5k to save a few hundred lbs on a big dumb recreational wheeler.
