My FIL grew up in south Philly. Relocated to the Baltimore suburbs. My wife had a school field trip to Philly. He chaperoned. Evidently he was a great tour guide because the other parents and teachers started following him. They got to Betsy Ross's house and he proceeded to tell them that it's a little known fact that Betsy Ross was a crazy cat lady. When she died they found over a hundred cats in her house. It's funny thinking there's 50 year old people sharing this story to this day. Man was a legend. RIP Big John.
