He was a neat guy, I chatted with him several times during Rubithon events.
His contribution to the Toyota off road community was huge, he will truly be missed

That's a bummer. It's funny I've never been a yota guy but ran the Marlin Crawler Roundup in my jeep a few years with some buddies. One year we got stuck in the regular Sunday bumper to bumper log jam on Cadillac Hill with Marlin and got to BS with him for a good long while. Couldn't have been a more genuine guy

Met him at a crawling event at donner ski ranch in Tahoe CA. We talked about custom cabs for 30 min and he got me in contact with someone selling one cheap. I still had the VM he left me up until about a year ago
