Roofing company around here sends out unsolicited coupons in the mail. "$2K off any complete roof replacement."

Disclaimer: "Not valid for prior estimates, must present coupon before getting estimate". :shaking::shaking::shaking:

Car dealer here advertising if you buy a Mitsubishi Outlander for $25K you're getting "half off" because the average price of a new car is $50K. :shaking::shaking::shaking:

All these dick enlargement pills. Like people really buy into this shit? Do you think you can take a pill to make you grow taller too?

The window pedaler cock suckers.

“free new more efficient windows if we can put a sign in your yard”

It’s a bait and switch, they come to your house and knock on your door. Give you the free estimate to completely re-window your house. Then tell you that your house isn’t in the correct spot to qualify for the exposure they are looking for for the free windows. But they’re ready to put $20K in windows in your house.

MOTHER was almost scammed by the window pukes. Took nothing more then a $40 worth of replacement weather striping and windows are tight again. :lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao:

If they say “FDA cleared” it’s a100% scam, my brother worked for the FDA, he said they don’t “clear” anything, they only approve it that it works.
He says they can’t shutdown those scammers fast enough, they shut one down and two pop up.

Same with "OSHA approved" they don't approve any product.

Zero percent financing. Been seeing it a lot lately where they offer cash back or zero percent interest. Then they’ll charge a finance charge up front also. Still see people on the tractor pages bragging about getting zero percent financing though.

And DOT. They have standards, but they don't look at anything. Anything "DOT approved" is a statement of opinion by the manufacturer.

The presence of the logo on commercial products indicates that the manufacturer or importer affirms the goods' conformity with European health, safety, and environmental protection standards. It is not a quality indicator or a certification mark.
I've had to do the CE one.

Not a "scam" as far as I know, but here's a bit of :homer: marketing that gave me a laugh:

This card was taped to our mailbox - in person, it's no easier to read than in my potato photo (minus the cell# which I fucker'd).
I'mm'a go out on a limb & guess English ain't Omar's native language, nor that of his "cousin" that made the biz card
I hope ol' Omar didn't peso much for whoever picked a light green text on a slightly darker gray-green field

Services offered read as follows:

pluning.topping.removing
Trees yard & slope Clean-ups
ivy toping & Removal
stump Grinding new grass.
wood Fences Garden and
Concrete Maintenance

At first I thought "pluning" was supposed to be "plumbing", not "pruning"

. . . and almost got Forest Whitaker eye comparing "topping" to "toping"

I honestly don't know if I should start off having my new grass stump Ground, my ivy toped, or my Concrete Maintained :flipoff2:

That being said, I'd bet Omar's abuela makes kick-ass goat tamales :grinpimp:

I enjoy all the emails that say I won a free tool and click to claim it. :shaking: sometimes three hardware stores in one day.
I’ve “won” so much crap I never signed up for I’d need another sea container to hold it all.

I’ve been approached several times buy people trying to get me to sell something, they would only refer to whatever it was as “The product”. I’m guessing Amway, Tupperware, or something like that :shaking:

Solar door to door sales. They’re relentless and never forget you.
Doorbell rings yesterday, I break my rule and answer the door. Dude asked for me by full name then shows me a aerial view of my house. He then proceeds to ask why I didn't have solar. I told him that I wasn't interested, dumbass was still talking to me after I shut the door :homer:. I checked my cameras and he was running from my house .

I have a small 1100 sq ft home. I have 4 peaks to my roof. If I wanted solar I’d have to cover the whole entire roof or put them on racks in the yard. I say f no to both of those. I keep telling them that as it is the truth and they still try. Time to buy a no solicitors sign!

Sometimes it works the other way. We got a door company to cut us a deal if we'd put a sign in the yard. Then made the installers reinstall our old screen doors in front of their shiny new doors. They never came back to drop off signs

Renewal by Anderson.

Somehow sucker people into paying near 6 figures for window replacements.

I had gotten a quote and for 12 windows, single story was something crazy, like 50k. For windows that cost under 6k.
