Probably not physically, but in their computer system. But I did learn some valuable lessons from this clusterfuck.

No, the lesson is they will unfuck it most of the time, watch your charges and alert them firstMostly not handing over the keys without a $@#$%@# receipt.

Anything I've rented from cars, apartments, to tools, Quick vid of time of pickup with the rental person present and in the vid and a quick vid of the time of return showing no new damage.I always take before and after video walk-around, I'll make sure to include the drop off background a little better for documentation...
I video document a fair amount of stuff, haven't had to really use it, the few times it's come in handy, "well if it comes to it I can check the video" things smooth out at that point
