Going by look isn't a bad route with fairly flat springs. The more arch and travel they have the more critical shackle hanger placement is imo.
Sky's ORD hangers definitely helped via existing bolt/rivet holes.CDA 455 II I went by look after the initial pic.

Recession is based on the arched length of the fixed end of the spring, not the shackle or angle.Bumping this. Is there a formula to calculate how far back the axle will move on compression for a given arch/shackle length/angle?
