Sooooo looking at the breakdown of the covid bill, CA which is estimated to have a budget shortfall of 19 Bln is scheduled to get 40 Bln from the bill?????? How does that work? How does that help covid relief?

Dollars vs population and broken down to dollar amount per resident would be interesting to see.

I imagine new Mexico or west Virginia have a higher population than Hawaii...but they are getting less.
hell, Iowa is getting less than hawaii.
 
Illinois shouldn't get a cent. Shitcago caused this states problems and needs to suffer for it. They'll never learn a lesson if they're not punished

I feel the same about CA but at least they are trying to recall newsome. I really have not read anything about how the populous feel about her.

Really, they took 'rona as an excuse to shove a maximum porkload through the gauntlet.

I would blame "the majority" that voted for this, but it appears that may in fact not exist :frown:

Honestly, it's a smart move.

If the US Govt is going to print into oblivion, there's no reason to not erase state gov't debt.

uhaul truckloads of bottled water have been delivered to the Navajo Nation (from the valley, desert) cause Indians (casino not call center) can not find water in the mountains.
The Indian uhaul drivers and indian firefighters (in green federal gov trucks) stop at the last circle k in town and buy pockets full of lottery tickets.

At this point I've already realized it's all monopoly money anyhow. Any day it could become completely worthless. I want to keep enough on hand to keep things afloat and pay off expected and unexpected bills, but any extra gets put toward tangible assets that will hold their value no matter what the dollar does.

Edit: Think what I just said will work on the wife so she'll OK the purchase of an excavator? :laughing:

:laughing: Yeah I usually just drag stuff home without asking, but on purchases over $10k or so I'd rather get her blessings before hand... Happy wife/happy life and all that bullshit.

I've been looking for a video where some folks approached some Indians for a trade to build a dam or do some forestry work. They showed up with a case of water and a cartoon of cigarettes I think it was. It was so uncomfortable to watch.

Trying to find it. :laughing:
