bring the motherfucking win. So so under rated. Deep meanings, unordinary endings, highly recommend checking them out.

Some names...
Old Boi (theres an american remake)
No tears for the dead
Parasite
Bittersweet life

many more that Ive watched through the years and have grown to really respect their cinematography.

My semi useful contribution for the day.

Crickets.
No one gives a fuck.
Im guessing subtitles are involved? Fuck that.

Piss off you no-reading 'tard.

I'm not a fan of subtitles, but every Korean movie I've watched, I have gotten sucked into. Check out Train To Busan if you haven't seen it. Awesome movie, the ending will wreck you.

That was a great movie!

I don't mind subtitles. I use them when watching BBC shows to translate accents so reading along isn't a chore. Also helps keep the volume at a reasonable level for the talking between the volume of gunfire in my average movie.

The Good The Bad The Weird was a fun one, and The Man From Nowhere is a kick ass action/revenge sort of flick (the John Wick series borrowed from it)

I can’t watch a movie where I don’t understand their foreign language without subtitles. But whatever floats your dingy

So...you're into Korean porn. :flipoff2:

There's a guy down the hall that watches Korean movies in his office. He's about 50 and was stationed in Korea for a while. He also watches Hanna Montana reruns, anime and webcams of kittens on an extra monitor. But that's normal, right?

"guy down the hall" sounds like you are in a mental institution or something :flipoff2:

When AFN (Armed Forces Network) got boring we would watch the "local channels". We would turn the volume down and ad-lib what the characters were saying. Sometimes it would get funny as fuck, which usually irritated our KATUSA

John Wayne westerns in Korean were always entertaining :homer:

*Picked up some Kimchi at Costco the other day, actually made in Korea :smokin:

Korean cinema is far too efficient to be great. It's good.

There is absolutely nothing left to chance in Korean cinema. The Japanese understand some chaos. I'm not a weeb but they have some type of philosophy that informs them of imperfection. Korea hasn't gotten the message yet.

Still good films, about the level of Donnie Darko or Pi I'd say.

I watched a zombie series on Netflix that was Korean, it was worth watching...

All Hollywood can do is remakes and comic book movies. I want to watch a good original movie that doesn't have a damn agenda. I hope the Daily Wire's attempt at entertainment bears fruit.

They might be decent shows in there own right, but I CAN NOT STAND the English voice overs on foreign shows. :mad3:

OUT :homer:

I wasn't a fan of Squid games. It seemed like the emotions were cartoony over the top and let me explain how the character is feeling in this moment right now. That might of just been the way it was translated though.

Some of the best Korean Movies I've seen recently are "Red Cliffs" and "War of the Arrows".
"The Man fFrom Nowhere" was as goos as anything they did in the "John Wick" series.
There was a Korean War Movie a few years back that was far beyond anything Hollweird has put out. I thought it was better done than "Saving Private Ryan".
I have some hearing issues so reading Sub Titles is how I get to keep up with all shows. So they don't bother me.

Just started watching the TV series "My Name" now and it's supposed to be a good one, but it's starting off slow.

I just read that "Train to Busan" had a budget of $8.5 million. A large Hollywood production probably spends that much in catering.... And "Train to Busan" puts them to shame.

I watched the Korean movie Space Sweepers on Netflix a couple months ago and thought it was pretty good. I like most of the sci fi space stuff though.

Sounds like I need to watch Train to Busan.

The Good, The Bad, and The Weird was good.
