Kentucky highway shootings.

Wonder why they didn’t bring out the smelling dogs and drones and thermal imaging helicopters to search the area with?!? Maybe they did as I didn’t read any news on the story, but you’d think they’d found him if they did and he’s on foot. He must be some kinda squirrelly bastard for sure
Right!! At least get Tommy Lee Jones out there

Manhunt

Authorities are searching a wooded rural area of southeastern Kentucky. London is home to about 7,600 people and is about a 75-mile drive south of Lexington.

Exit 49 is one of the most remote exits in the area, Root said. “It’s a big task,” he added.
He said Saturday evening that the search had been grueling and covered thousands of acres of mostly rough terrain. Authorities have been using drones and helicopters along with search dogs to help with the job, he said.

Stupid question but they capitalized “White” do they do the for “Black” ?
No, I've noticed this about a year ago. WHITE guy and "allegedly there was a guy who shot from the woods" < meaning :mr-t:

the heat seaking tech they have now a days is impressive.
My coworker has a pretty expensive drone and one night he was stuck up in traffic. Police had the area shutdown looking for a suspect. "Waiting on our drone guy" or whatever so Will said I've got one and provided all his cert's and shit. Police escort 2 miles up the street to grab his drone. He ended up finding the guy using the heat tech and got 20ft above the suspect. lol

:homer:

It's common practice for LEO to not comment on how they're searching and what equipment they're using. If there are any other roads near there he may have had an accomplice who gave him a ride or he may have had a car stashed. He could possibly be a long way away.

"We are very confident that tonight brings closure to the search for Joseph Couch. I want to thank all partners for their collaborative effort to bring this to a successful conclusion,” said KSP Commissioner Phillip Burnett, Jr. “The people of Laurel County can rest much easier now that this manhunt has been concluded.”

Investigators were not able to confirm how the person who was found died. The body will be transported Thursday to the Kentucky State Medical Examiner’s Office in Frankfort.

Couple livestreaming search say what led to discovery of body near I-75 shooting site

The body being found comes as law enforcement in the area have conducted an intense manhunt for a suspect in a shooting along Interstate 75 nearly two weeks ago.

The shooting happened on Sept. 7, when five people were seriously injured as shots rang out along I-75 in Laurel County, about one hour south of Lexington. The people who were shot are expected to recover.

Since the shooting, law enforcement have conducted a search across more than 28,000 acres in the Daniel Boone National Forest for the suspect.

Joseph Couch, 32, was considered to be an armed and dangerous suspect during the manhunt, putting nearby towns and communities on edge as the search continued.

A motive for the shooting isn't clear yet - but the sheriff said the incident was not a case of road rage.

Investigators said while the shooting appears to have been a planned attack, they believe none of the travelers who were hit by bullets were specifically targeted.

Investigators said the two people who discovered the body before alerting law enforcement will receive $15,000 from Laurel County Crimestoppers and $10,000 from a private donor.

And they are now $25k richer.
