Last night I was driving at sundown. The mountains to the west were bathed in orange. Didn't get a picture, but I did say a prayer for a girl I've never met. I think about Kayla whenever I see a big orange sunset. I go between the west coast and Arizona, so it's often. Makes me really appreciate the relationship I have with my daughter.

All these years later, every time I see an orange sunset I think of this girl that I never met. Adding to the walking stick, walking around with it and mailing if off. My hope is that me and mine will have this kind of impact on someone in the end.

I try to make her proud everyday. Having her remembered by those here gives me the strength to hold my head high and know I did all I could do to raise a good kid(s). I thank you all from the bottom of my heart.

Sitting out on patio last night and my boy saw me take this pic, asked me why i did it and we had conversation about this place and the old place,kayla and all the asshole friends who belong to both, to have him sit and ponder it for a bit then simply say," im glad you have those friends they seem like good people".
