Jake Paul set to fight 57-year-old boxing legend Mike Tyson

Honestly this is just a bad idea for Tyson. 57 year olds should not be professionally fighting. They definitely shouldn't be professionally fighting against 27 year olds. Jake Paul is not an elite professional boxer but the guy can fucking punch and he's in his athletic prime. If I'm in Tyson's camp I'm telling him that he's done a great job of rehabbing his image and this does nothing for him. It's all risk and no reward. He has plenty of avenues for making money with his rehabbed image. He doesn't need this.

The spirit of the Simpsons reference is legit. Tyson said in a 2000 post-win interview that he wanted to eat Lennox Lewis's children. At the time of the interview, Lewis had no children. We may be trying to apply norms that don't apply to Iron Mike's rants. :laughing:

its got nothing to do with entertainment, Ive never seen a full boxing match in my life.

But the man is rare. We should definitely take care of things or people that are rare. So if you and him are on a plane and both have issues, Im all for throwing you off :flipoff2:

Maybe a guy like him is an entertainer now but back through history had a prurpose. The story of 300 is basically what a bunch of Mikes would have been doing. A seal team is filled with guys who aren’t too far off what he is. He may have been a warrior in a military or kings mercenary type crew or a guard at a palace somewhere. Someone had to go out and do the violent stuff the farmers didn’t want to or couldn’t. Maybe through his ruthless dedication and blood lust he would have ended up either high up in the ranks or killed by his own kind.

Yeah, he's no Mike Tyson. Jake Paul sucks, but he's a good enough boxer I wouldn't be anywhere near as confident as Butterbean is about fighting him at his age.
