I was too aggressive in all my lowballs. Looked at that first Jag, missed out on an infiniti, lincoln didn't take my offer. Also checked out a lexus, merc, and an 82 jag. The lexus and merc just denied the offers. The 82 jag accepted but then couldn't find a title.
I've just been commuting in my inlaws car, it's fine but just boring.
Then the dumbass part.
Today I bought a damn 98 f-150. Xl Supercab, 4x4, 4.6 and a stick.
One of the guys on the ship had it and didn't know what to do with it.
It was stolen but then recovered. I guess it starts with a screwdriver and runs fine. But the guy said the thief ruined the clutch. Said that it makes noise with his foot on the pedal. I haven't verified.
It also has rotten rockers
But everything else seems fine which is weird.
I gave him 200 dollars for it
I also go on deployment in 15 days.
I am thinking I'll dump it in long term parking on base then put a clutch kit in the passenger seat and try to drive it as is down to drydock in California as is in the spring.
If I do anything more than neglect it as a beater, I'll throw super duties at it and attempt a build thread. There was a guy on the old site who did one that I liked
I'll probably still be searching for a car when I get back to commuting.

Resident hick....
There will be haters but those are good trucks and the manual is fairly rare with a V8. I’d fix it and run the shit out of it. The 4.6 isn’t bad with a stick.
That truck looks mint my eyes are getting shitty but I don't see any rust at all.It also has rotten rockers
