What's new

It's been a good week

Ran down to Riverslime, Ca. and picked up the grandson, his wife and their daughter. Got them up here by dinner time Sunday. The grandson had a job interview at 9am Monday and he got the job. He starts 5/20/24. Our oldest daughter went and looked at a couple more houses last night and made an offer on one. Now we just need to wait and see if it's accepted of countered. Things are moving in a positive direction. :smokin:
Good for you and your family.

Keep being the best you can be for them.

As for the clowns putting you down - fuck it. if they don’t like that they can suck it.

I guess pilots don't have use for road maps. :flipoff2:
Twin to Riverside via St George would be a hell-of-a detour.
I’ve done worse for dinner with a friend
We do go via I-15 if the weather is really shitty just for the much more availability of motel rooms if we need them, but mostly we go straight
down Hwy 93 to Ely, then Hwy 6 to Hwy 318 and get back to Hwy 93 just north of Ash Springs. There's a whole lot of nothing on that route.

Well, the offer our daughter put in got countered. That house was only on the market for 1 day and they got multiple over asking. :frown:
We're going at 1pm today to look at another house.

Curious, and if too personal just ignore. Is that Filer, or closer to Twin Falls ? Good luck :flipoff2:

Both houses have Twin Falls addresses. The first one was out in the "country" appx. 5 miles south of town and the one for today is in town.

House hunting is a PITA. :flipoff2: The house yesterday was really nice, but it was under contract, which didn't show until an hour before
we got there. Looked at it anyway and while we were there the realtor got a message that it will probably drop out Monday. Now we
wait to see if that's true and our daughter told her realtor to immediately submit her offer if it drops out. Meanwhile the first house out
in the country just fell out of escrow. We shall see what happens with that one.
Edit: The granddaughter starts her internship as a vet tech at a local vet office tomorrow morning. :smokin:

Not for me/us. :flipoff2: Wife goes in tomorrow for a procedure on her back which we hope will help with the pain.
Took weeks of jumping through hoops for the insurance to okay it.
That's good stuff man. I'm just giving you cray. This would have been a good week, except my teen daughter jacked that all up.

Hey, I thought that's what teen daughters are for. :flipoff2: Our granddaughter has lived with us since she graduated high school 3 years ago.
Let's just say......................................... it's been an adventure.

i always get curious in situations like this, when one person goes to pickup someone else a long ways away and the why of it. they dont have a car that'll make it up there?

No offense, but what are the circumstances where a 79 year old man must travel 1500 miles to transport a couple of people and boxes?

i guess "no car" would be the easiest answer...
71 is the new 40
