$16k 1994 dollars is still under $30k 2019 dollars. Could you get a base engine F150 for $30k in 2019? Probably not. And 2019 ignores the past 3yr of inflation.

That’s something I have always wondered. Everybody (including me) calls a F150 a half ton. Does Ford Actually say that anywhere?
