Where and how much?

Trucks Unlimited in Wynnewood OK. 99% sure it belongs to the shop owner as it's been sitting in that exact same spot without moving for at least the 4yrs I've been driving by it. I have zero info on it and have no idea if it's actually for sale, but I'm sure it could be for the right price. I want it badly but have no actual use for it and nowhere to park it, so I don't bother calling and asking about it. I'll gladly go look at it for you if your interested and get in touch with the owner. :smokin:

If you did the in-frame yourself it wouldn't even be close to those figures. $10k max if you bought top tier parts. That puts the truck at a $23k price point before the RV conversion. Still seems like a deal to me.
I know less than nothing about big trucks. Is it really something that can be done by the home gamer?

I get the impression I could probably get the thing for $9-10k.

The appeal of these Expediters seems to be that the tend to already be set up more like an RV vs. a regular sleeper - so I'm thinking the conversion would be simpler....at least from the standpoint of meeting the requirements of getting it re-titled as an RV.

I mean, the 4th reply in the thread is from me, so.... :flipoff2:

I talked to the seller of the one above a bit. He didn't know much about it...at all. Couldn't even tell what model it is or what engine it has. I did a bit of googling for other similar vintage fedex expediters for sale and narrowed down to most likely being a 780 with ~450hp volvo engine. There was a big and small volvo or a cummins available in '07. I'd think the cummins would be more desirable.

Not sure what that rig is worth after an in-frame.....but from what I read, you're looking at $25-35k+ for a rebuild.

Good to know you were 4th to post since I was 3rd in that thread:lmao:

I didn't even notice that until you mentioned it but looking back, the RV door sure is close to the roof.

I'd still buy it knowing that though. Like you said, it's cool as hell! I'd use/build it out to be an RV front to back and pull my racecar trailer behind it. I'm only 6'2" so I'd have some room to work with in there.

thoughts on how good/bad the frontend setup is on this? tempting me, even though it's probably a step past my skill level & a bigger project than I have time for.

From what I can see, I'm not sure there is a whole front-end setup. The one photo has no links, and I don't see any upper links in the others, also the links in there look kinda small, no draglink or steering box.

definitely has no steering. and i thought it looked "lacking" in the parts department. It'd probably easer to put leaves back on the thing

I'll continue to hope it sells and the temptation goes away

Powerstroke E-series for $800 in running and driving condition. :smokin:

It is taking all my willpower not to buy this.

For parts or repair. Well-maintained 1998 Ford van with Powerstroke diesel engine. Was converted to run on WVO (waste vegetable oil) back in 2004 and burned 250K miles worth.

Very recent tires (Goodyear Wrangler 245/75R16), all glass intact, lights and lenses are good, TONS of valuable parts on this beast. Worth the asking price in rubber and scrap alone. We just want it gone. We took the grease conversion parts out, van still runs but has a major leak in the exhaust manifold. Sounds like a Sherman tank. But it goes!

Email with questions or for more photos.

Why haven't you bought that yet? The engine is worth more than the asking price. Go get that thing and stuff that engine into the Aerostar..... I dare you. 😁
