Interesting Craigslist finds

this seems dirt cheap for a D60 front? Log into Facebook

That’s a good price, but I bought several from the junkyards down here for less than 400 bucks so…

what the hell was this table initially? My first thought was crusher jaws or something but I'm sure thats not it. looks like it was something that pivoted and someone added legs to it to make it a table" Log into Facebook

you're probably lucky enough to still have pull-yourself yards. I'm sure there are a couple, but for the most part I think they've gotten shut down around here and most of what I see now are basically used parts warehouses that scrap cars, vs what I used to go to as a real junkyard. I know the 3 I went to in NJ from 2003-10ish are all shut down, cleaned up, and houses or buildings now :(

its also been 15 years since I've done the junkyard game, so maybe I'm off base and not looking hard enough.

A 2002 would be a 50 wouldnt it?
Not sure how accurate this info is, but seems to be correct for my application...my 2001 DRW F350 has a dana 60.

Dana 50 Trucks:

  • 2000-2005 Ford Excursion
  • 1998-1999 Ford F-250 3/4 Ton
  • 1999-2002 Ford F-250 Super Duty
  • 1999-2002 Ford F-350 Super Duty
The Dana 50 was phased out of the trucks in 2004, in favor of the Dana 60 and was last used in the Ford Excursion.

Dana 60 Trucks:

NOTE: Trucks prior to 1999 are NOT Super Duties.

  • 1978-1979 Ford F-250
  • 1992-1997 F350s all had Dana 60s
  • 2002-2006 Ford F-250
  • 1979-2003 Ford F-350
  • 1999-2019 Ford F-250 / F-350
  • 2004-2011 Ford F-450 / F-550
  • 2002-2011 Ford F-250 / F-350

  • 1986-1988 Ford F-350 With Dual Rear Wheels (DRW)
  • 1988-1991.5 Ford F-350 With Single Rear Wheels (SRW)
  • 1992-1995 F-350 (All) (Balljoint)
  • 1996.5-1998 F-350 (All) (Balljoint)

  • 2000.5 F350/F-450/F-550 DRW (balljoint, Metric 8x170mm Wheel Bolt Pattern F-350 / 8x220mm F-450/F-550, Unit Bearing Hub)
  • 2001 F-350 DRW (Balljoint, Metric 8x170mm Wheel Bolt Pattern, Unit Bearing Hub)
  • 2001-02 F-450/F-550 DRW (Balljoint, Metric 8x220mm Wheel Bolt Pattern, Unit Bearing Hub)
  • 2002 F-250/F-350 SRW (Balljoint, Metric 8x170mm Wheel Bolt Pattern, Unit Bearing Hub)
  • 2002 F-450/F-550 DRW (Balljoint, Metric 8x220mm Wheel Bolt Pattern, Unit Bearing Hub)
  • 2004+ F250-F350 had Dana 60s
  • 2005+ F250 had coil springs & a “Super” Dana 60
They started dropping Dana 60’s in SRW Super Duties in 2002, some early 2002’s still got stuck with a Dana 50 though.

Who cares. Go get it for that price.
how do you think it'll track strapped to 2 of these with a tow strap to my Yukon? it's only a couple miles, right?? Just don't brake on downhills

i WISH I had somewhere to put that thing. I'd have to spend a weekend tearing apart the garage just to stuff it in, and I don't have a way to move it to begin with

The miracle of editing, Hoss.:homer:
Sometimes I gotta post the link and then go back and edit in the pic

It won’t let me do both at the same time .

Anyhoo. That bus ain’t worth $25k but for $10 k it would be a pretty good deal .

The bluebird wander lodge was the top of the line motorhome before provost came along .

Ask him how tall it is with the Z down (do you even call it the Z axis on a VTL?).

If it'll fit under my gantry then I'd seriously look into getting it.

Edit: Phone number is listed. Texting him. He's gonna get more exact dimensions tomorrow.
