Actually not that far from me. :homer:

"only used once" coffins anyone? 😆😲

A cop buddy said these weird ads with excessively overpriced things are low key ads for people to get ahold of dealers for drugs.
This. Dealer gets a new number every few days and posts an ad. You need to know the approriate response or you get ignored.

😎 love those old Galaxies but the 390 intake can be a bitch to get seated right.

God dammit I need that car.

I had a white 63 500 2dr, and a buddy of mine had a black 63 1/2 500XL back in the day.

Both were hard top cars. Sold mine way too cheap. Haven't talked to Paul in 20+years. Don't know if he still has his.

looking like it's gone to someone else
hope it isn't getting scrapped like the guy was advertising it as... some holes in it from old fasteners don't matter a lick if you're using it as siding
The fastener holes don’t matter using it on the roof either .

Whoever built my cabin put used tin on the roof , and it’s got nail holes in it , and it’s never leaked . That’s assuming they installed it properly the first time it was used and all the nail holes are on top of the ridges .

and assuming the fastener holes are all lined up perfectly so they'll drop into the 1.5" wide face of a purlin

too much precision for my style, rather just slap it on the walls and buy new for the roof

Not all roofs have to be 100% water tight. As long as they keep most of it off and keep the sun off it's more than good enough for parking things under!

The roof on my cabin has lots of empty nail holes from whatever chicken house it was on previously , and it doesn’t leak . I suppose plenty of rain drops have landed exactly into the nail holes but I guess they never made it though the felt paper .

The sill beams on the other hand , were not constructed of pressure treated lumber and are all rotten …
That’s gonna be a fun job replacing those .

 On top of the ridges? :homer: Why does anyone think this is how to install tin roofs or siding? And to top it off.. Nails on the ridges.:shaking:

You use 2x2 for purlins or you mounting directly to the rafters? Atleast 2x4 for the purlins.

I think it stems mostly from back in the day when there wasn't EPDM washers on the screws. It would make sense to put it on the high spot where the majority of the water wasn't running in the channels with unsealed, nailed fasteners. With EPDM washers now, its a moot point.
