What's new

Interesting Craigslist finds

My brother had a '96 Dakota 3.9, 5 speed, RCSB 2wd and that thing wouldn't get better than 16mpg. He bought it brand new and it got shit mileage. lol

if I was closer…
man, clear out the back and beef up the sides and floor of that box and it'd make an excellent stealth heavy shit hauler

though I think that every time I see pickup cab RVs with no windows

no kidding  I'd love to drive that thing, wonder how fat you can be till it noseplants constantly

I’d rather drop it on a 3.4 swapped 89-95 x cab chassis.

shortbus with MDT running gear.

This would be a perfect donor for a cool old MDT cab swap. Then add a flatbed. Probably could part out the bus body to offset at least $1k if not more.

It’s a MTD truck. So any running gear in it would be MDT :flipoff2:
MTD makes lawn equipment
:flipoff2:

but for serious, most of the short busses I see are one ton van based.
I've never seen a short bus with real chassis shit under it.
Seems like a great DIY heavy RV for towing opportunity.

There are a lot of them around here. I guess that’s why it didn’t make sense to me.

I may have to take a look at this one.
I’ve got a 65’ econoline spring special, all oringial besides the wheels. Original straight 6 and 3 speed on the tree trans. It currently is not running. It’s got rust, a broken window and couple other small things.. comes with a low mileage 5.0L out of a fox body. Would love to finish this thing just don’t time the time anymore. A very very small amount of spring specials were ever produced somewhere around only 2000 ever! so this a very rare example that’s still left that I would love for someone to make road worthy Im completely open to offers but pretty firm. May be open to trades as well but highly prefer cash I’ll have more photos when requested

My dad drove one exactly like that for several years. Baby blue, might have been a 64.

What a huge POS. It's the original Ridgeline. Unibody with sheetmetal engine mounts... He lives in the mountains and uses a truck like a truck, and that thing had more weld than original steel by the time he scrapped it.

"How's your week going?"
"Ugh, the engine fell out again..."

I guess for Coffee&Cars it would be pimp.
