I dig that front grill. We run 2 foot light bars on ours, and cheap led floods front and rear. Our are gonna need new wiring harnesses soon, too. We run 4 8630's and a 40 for tilling/grain cart duty. How was the harness swap? Did you get the new harness from deere? Seems like 2spd clutches are getting hard to find. Normally have a 2spd go out on 1 of the bunch every spring. And a main clutch every other year.
I just redid the interior on one, new shifter cables, new ass cushion on the seat, new steering wheel hydros and new lights in the dashboard. Its a damn Conestoga Cadillac.
I put some led pods on the sides of the front, sides of the top of the cab, and back of the top of the cab. Also ran the lights off of a nice big constant duty relay on the side of the dash and ran an 8 gauge wire to the top of the cab and front of the radiator where I have a junction block at each place. That way if I feel the desire to add more lights I just come off the junction block.
I just redid the wiring harnesses myself. Got rid of some wires I didn't need anymore, unfucked some of a previous owner's wiring, spliced in good wires where some were bad, put new delphi packard 56 series connectors on etc. Then wrapped it all with some vinyl tape and then friction tape. I don't even want to know what a harness from deere would cost...
We put a 2 speed clutch in once on this tractor a long time ago. Hopefully I don't need to for a long time yet. I really don't put many hours on it a year.
I'm an extreme cheapass so when I redid the interior I basically did it all with shit I had on hand instead of buying a cab kit. I took the old headliner out that had the foam/leather falling off and cleaned it up. It's like a pressed fiberglass shit that is really annoying to work with, but I took it and brushed fiberglass epoxy on it to make it have a hard shell surface. Then brushed some bedliner on it to give it a rough textured finish. Where the other foam was in the cab I replaced it with conveyor belting. Built some custom angle iron trim pieces to finish the corners. and cut a new floor mat out of conveyor belting too. Put some kilmat on the floor to help deaden some sound. It turned out pretty decent and shouldn't ever fall apart like the factory foam does. I'll try and remember to get a picture sometime. Next thing I want to do is rig up the seat so it's an air ride seat. I've been doing that to some of my other tractors when I get a chance and it's nice. So far I've been able to convert the factory seats in an 86 series International, and a 2294 case with just a small airbag and a 12v compressor.
