What's new

IBB ortho's, right knee has had a dull ache for a while...

ACL,MCL,and cartilage tear when I was 15.
Was fine until 5 years ago. I'm 53 now.
Arthritis now. I'm great at knowing when the pressure changes.
Feels like I need to "pop" it sometimes. Feels like it will give out other times.
Get it looked at before more damage occurs. Might have an orthoscopic surgery,or if worse, filleted open.
I thought old people were crazy, telling me about the weather because their knee hurt or shoulder hurt . I am 59yo now. THEY WERNT CRAZY! :homer:

^^^that's the feeling I couldn't figure out how to articulate:beer:
Never gives out, just feels like it might.

I know I "should" see a doc, just like I should see one about my shoulders (likely fucked up rotators), but I'm currently swamped at work with 3 projects that have converged at once and I'm "the guy" who seems to be the only one capable of handling them. This is why I don't want to take the time off, I'm pretty sure I know where this is eventually headed. I figure anything can be fixed now, right?:homer:
It will...at the most inopportune moment....like stepping down off of a ladder, approaching a stoplight on your motorcycle, or taking the first step down a long flight of stairs...lol, at least that's when mine decides to tell me to fuck off.

Torn ACL/MCL/Microfractures/and a whole bunch of other shit over 2 pages of an MRI report 10 years ago. Doc was a dickhead and quit after I waited 5 months to have surgery....been through a few different insurance programs and life over the years and haven't had it fixed yet.

I could tell it was foggy this morning by how my knee felt in the first 3 steps outta bed on my way to take a piss. I can also tell you when it's gonna rain.

Was fine after having coffee this morning, sat down for lunch and I damn near needed a cane after that....no idea why.

Go to the doc and get it checked out.

Do you wear knee pads? I never did until I could hardly touch my knees without pain, now I always wear them if I'm on my knees... both of mine have been fucked up from impact though.
X whatever on knee pads. I used to keep a set in each rig I used for work on top of the ones I kept in my kit for work. I have the rounded ones and the flat ones. Each serve a purpose.

Shit I have been predicting the weather since my late 20’s. Guess I played rougher than most in my teens and 20’s.

Wife and I were in her home town one summer. Rain was not in the forecast for over a week. I started feeling pain in my shoulder and told her it was going to rain soon. Pain got “deeper” and I told he it was going to rain inside of 10 minutes. She said no way. We popped out of the trees on the road and suddenly rain hit the windshield. She looked at me like WTF? We had only been dating for around a year or so and I had to tell her I was already very broken for my age but I wouldn’t let that slow me down. 20 years later I am coaching soccer for my oldest with no ACL and no inner meniscus. The ACL is optional apparently but the bone on bone from the missing meniscus sucks . I just aint ready to slow down yet.
