Doesn't seem swelled, my wife thinks it is slightly. Doesn't feel like its gonna give out, but also doesn't feel... 'right'. FWIW I've been working on my feet/crawling around on my knees quite a bit over the last few months (that's what she said:flipoff2:)

Walk it off or see a doc?

Write out all your feelings, experiences, and opinions on your owie, that should make it all better.

FYI, this isn't something fleeting, I've walked around with 11mm kidney stones plugging my ureter for several days, played all season of HS football with 2 fractured ribs, and worked through a bad enough high ankle sprain that I was supposed to be off work for 4 weeks with a brace (which I didn't because I had 2 young kids at home depending on my sole income), so when I say dull ache this isn't an 'owie'.
It's not bad enough do stop walking on it, but bad enough that when I'm climbing I wonder if its going to give out. Been this way about 2 months, and seems to be getting slowly worse. It feels like there's fluid on it but I personally don't see any external differences.

You got the long term effects of high school sports. My tax dollars paid for that shit. Enjoy your life long injury!

Sorry you hurt man. I don't think anybody (even a doctor) could tell you anything accurate without imaging.
I give my dogs glucosamine for joint health... it seems to help them to varying degrees. If you just want to try things.

Poke at it with a stick or something. Dibs on your stuff. :flipoff2:

Some people will get fluid build up in that area and needs to be drained, but I halfway think that is old age showing. Elevate it with ice for a day or so and see if it makes a difference.

You're too fat, fatty. Put the snacks down. :flipoff2:

Go see a doc.

My left knee was giving me problems in my early 20s and during a routine visit I brought up how my knee was painful after long days, and I'm too damn young for that shit. Doc looked at it, asked if I had injured that leg and been favoring at all in the last several years. Said yeah, rolled that ankle so bad it fucked up some tendons/ligaments/whatever couple years back, had to be careful for awhile, but thats better now. Apparently I favored it enough that the 3 muscles that hold the kneecap in place were unbalanced, and he gave me a simple routine to strengthen the outer muscle on my thigh and let him know if it worked. Fuckin A within a week the pain was gone, I continued keeping up with it and havent had an issue yet.

TL: DR: See a doc :flipoff2:

Do you wear knee pads? I never did until I could hardly touch my knees without pain, now I always wear them if I'm on my knees... both of mine have been fucked up from impact though.
I've got some, they are just never where I'm at when I need them.

Probably so, been working on that:laughing:

how old is your bed? I had knee issues a few years ago. couldn't hardly walk on it. went ot the chiro and my back/hips were so far out of alignment that it was walking out of alignment and that was making my knee hurt like hell. I had been to my primary dr and an Ortho and nothing showed on the xrays.

went to the chiro and she adjusted me and I felt instantly better. went back a week later to re-adjust since my back had been out long enough my muscle memory pulled it back out again.

my bed was the culprit

Funny, this knee is on the same leg I had the high ankle sprain. That was 'bout 8 years ago though.

Relax your leg, push your knee cap left and right, does it move easier one way than the other?

ACL,MCL,and cartilage tear when I was 15.
Was fine until 5 years ago. I'm 53 now.
Arthritis now. I'm great at knowing when the pressure changes.
Feels like I need to "pop" it sometimes. Feels like it will give out other times.
Get it looked at before more damage occurs. Might have an orthoscopic surgery,or if worse, filleted open.

easier to push it inside leg than out
My non medical diagnosis based on my experience (don't sue me bro :flipoff2:) is weakness in your outer thigh. The exercise I was given was "put your hand on the outside of your knee, pull your hand toward your center, while pushing out with your leg, off and on (not constant steady pressure)" For me since it was my left, I put my knee against the truck door when driving and exercised it on the way to and from work.

I can't see how doing that could possibly have a negative impact, but YMMV, if it hurts, stop.

I still highly recommend seeing someone more knowledgeable than Dr POS :flipoff2:

^^^that's the feeling I couldn't figure out how to articulate:beer:
Never gives out, just feels like it might.

I know I "should" see a doc, just like I should see one about my shoulders (likely fucked up rotators), but I'm currently swamped at work with 3 projects that have converged at once and I'm "the guy" who seems to be the only one capable of handling them. This is why I don't want to take the time off, I'm pretty sure I know where this is eventually headed. I figure anything can be fixed now, right?:homer:

I'm still mostly the same way,but trying harder to take care of myself.
Remember, you only have 1 body, and the replacement parts are chinesium quality compared to OE.

i dont feel right answering with so little info. i mean usually you have at least 2 solid paragraphs of text and this being so short it seems like you are trolling us... :lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao::beer::beer::beer::beer::grinpimp::grinpimp::grinpimp::grinpimp:

Naw, been busy chappy.

Next time I have time for 2 solid paragraphs I'm gonna turn it into the title of at least a dozen threads and let people decipher it:flipoff2::flipoff2::flipoff2:

1. Stop sucking so much dick. :flipoff2:
2. See #1
3. Drink until it doesn’t hurt. Be a man.

Sorry, all I got. Getting old sucks. It’s not for pussies, that’s for sure.

Get some medical assistance before your bones to bone on bone and you're left with only scar tissue

I got Bursitis in my left knee. Turned into one of the most painful things I ever experienced (I broke my back in 6 places so I'm no stranger to pain). It was more of a sharp pain though. Ice, heat, Tylenol and Advil kicked it in a few days.
