Anyone tracking this? I am currently flying into Orlando on Tuesday afternoon for work. Not sure how this is going to pan out. Plan is to be there Wends-Thurs to set up our booth for Fabtech, then fly home Friday and then back down on Monday afternoon for the show. Something tells me this is not going to go smoothly. Rigger is picking up our machines tomorrow morning to drive them down.

Not sure I want to get stuck in FL during a hurricane.

SIL N of Orlando battening down the port and starboard hatches will update with any pictures sent.

Ya. This one is headed straight for some friends and family. Sounds like none of them can leave, either.

Prepare for ADHD when viewing this page, but essentially an aggregate of all the data from NOAA and the NWS. It looks like the storm will be well out into the Atlantic by Thursday (knock on wood).

I use this site often.

Without jinxing things, Orlando is smack in the middle of the State so things usually settle down when the eyewall no longer has warm water to draw energy.

It's not looking good.

I tried googling and and didn't see anything. Has a hurricane ever formed by Mexico before? I don't think it has.

My second attempt to get to RSW was today, I was much more worried about getting stuck in Chicago tonight :flipoff2:

I put everything off again until tuesday next week.

I fly into Tampa Tuesday.
Hopefully.

We wife and son and I lived there for like 6 months back in 2010, didnt like the humidity, lived just south of lake weir.

This one they're forecasting it to still be a hurricane across the whole state and when it makes it to the Atlantic stay a hurricane almost to Bermuda, not sure how settled down it will get over land. One saving grace is that it does appear to be hauling ass, not lingering around like some storms.

If this the one that just started in the Caribbean out of thin air and grew massive right away?

If so is this normal? I thought most all of them started in the Atlantic as tropical storms first?

Disclaimer: I just got back from vacation and didn’t really watch the news much.

Have friends and colleagues in st Pete’s and Tampa that had the water up to the ceiling on the first floor. Cars flooded out… crazy shit. Now we are shutting down our st Pete’s shop starting Tuesday just in case…

My parents are down there at their condo (vacation home) in siesta key. I keep telling them to come up here until it passes, but they are being dumb and want to ride it out.

It's currently aimed towards Sarasota Bradenton. This area has never had a direct hit.
I'm also pretty sure a hurricane has also never formed in Mexico and came across the Gulf either.

Hence my grocery run earlier. I’m Deep South of course. My boss wants me to run to Jacksonville on Wednesday. :homer: And he’s always the one saying don’t you watch noa before planning things. Kinda same path as two years ago when it crossed over the state. And Of course the wife is still in recovery. All my groceries piled in the passenger seat of a camaro and I just dropped her car off at the bodyshop Friday. Should be fun.

Well hell. My friend down there probably will play down the chances of a hit. :mad3:
