What's new

How much time do you give someone to fix their mistake?

I'm pretty sure I know who you are talking about, so not too surprised about how he asked this be handled. In his mind, logically, it was the quickest way to resolve the issue. As noted earlier, its now the 4th day. Most people are not amazon prime and do not ship shit out next day.

You probably don't need to threaten a charge back tomorrow, but it would probably be worth a call to prop guy to figure out a path forward. If its who I think it is, everything is most likely going to work out fine, just not on the timeline you hoped.

even with a paid shipping label i'm not going to hurry up to correct someone else's mistake to help someone i've never had a single interaction with

i'll do it when i have time, or send it back to the company I bought from
Yep, and if you were on the short end of this deal, you'd be bitching that the fucker dragging his ass was acting just like you. And that's the reason this crap sucks. No matter the seller's intention to save everyone a few days in shipping back and forth, the weakest link in the chain fucks it all up. I've made the same mistake, contemplated getting them to exchange orders with pre-paid labels and then I remember all the ways why it will go wrong starting with the "fuck it, not my problem guy".

Update...My prop has been picked up by UPS this morning. So crisis adverted.

The guy who got my prop received his props yesterday. My guess is that he was holding my prop until he got his more expensive props. I can't say I blame him.

I don't need the prop right now but I sure as hell wanted it sooner than I'll be getting it. According to UPS, I'll get my prop next Tuesday (7/16). I ordered the prop on June 21st. I did not want to wait a month for a prop.

I dropped off the wrong props at a UPS pick up at 11am on July 8th and the guy got them by 10am on July 10th (2 days). My prop was picked up at about 10am today (July 11th) and I'm not supposed to get till July 16th (5 days)...WTF??? I just keep getting fucked in this deal.

Prop guy turned this into a giant cluster fuck!

This is a very first-world problem to be getting tight about. Things have to travel through the distribution hubs and we have a very updated thread here on how the logistics can get turned around (read properly fucked). This is also happening over a weekend. Y'know, those people at UPS like their weekends too.

No good deed goes unpunished. You turned around the double prop order quickly hoping the guy on the other end would do the same. He didn't.

This is hardly a cluster fuck. Have you read some of the threads about people missing axles or whole Unimogs?

I know, you needed to vent.

I guess you missed the laughing emoji....

There doesn't seem to be a single benefit to owning a boat.
