Homemade Archery Targets

Stack of cardboard with threaded rods in the corners to compress.

going to live outside all the time, so that makes it pretty much just a soggy mold trap. i think im going to try the kids floor foam in a big frame.

how deep do i need to make it? atleast longer than an arrow? 36" deep?

Seems like my last block was 16” or 18” deep. That would let arrows penetrate a decent amount. If I was building one, I would probably go more like 24”-36”.

Shit no. I have tractor problems. So that's where my time has been. I need to get a bunch of those kids foam mats and clamp them together

It’s too dam hot would also be a good answer . :flipoff2:

I’m planning to hit the local archery shop here at some point. Will try and get a picture of their targets.

Following, need to get back into shooting Grew up using hay bales and a piece of coal mine conveyor belt on a couple of 4X4 posts behind them to keep from going in too deep or shooting through. Last target was a cardboard bale from the local grocery store.
