I'm kind of striking out for stuff off the shelf in stock in automotive land, is there some other industry that I'm missing that would have a standardized connector that can handle 900 volts and 500 amps? Has to handle shielded cable obviously, and have a pair of small connections for an interlock loop. Ideally it would have both plus and minus in a single connector, but individual would be fine too.
Does not need to interuppt current.
I was wondering if locomotives used anything like this but it appears not. Mining?

These are the standard for "mining"

You have 3 current carrying connections, plus ground, plus a single interlock connection (used in conjunction with the ground for "interlock". Might be available with more than the single interlock connection, just that's all we use.

What size wire are you using?

Ideally wire around 240mm2

Crouse-Hinds also makes these camlock things like the carnies use for temporary genset power. They're literally just like welding connectors. Don't know about the voltage ratings though.

Doesn't satisfy: single connector with interlock, but the price is probably much, much better.

Check out Staubli Connectors. They are what we use for all of our uut connections in the test cells. I have more info I can show you this weekend.

All of the cat heads in underground mining are like this. I actually just replaced one tonight, I can't think of who makes them though

That just looks like a Tweco type welding connector that someone had the balls to say "yeah it's good for real voltages"
