Guys on here seem to be pretty good at finding shit and knowing where to look. I’m looking for a gen 2 sig MPX K with a 4.5” barrel and mlok handguard. The only ones I see are stupidly priced on Gunbroker. New or used I don’t really care, Thanks guys.

Welcome to the pre-election freak out, the stupidly priced ones are probably the only ones you're going to find in stock.

Right. Guys are asking over msrp and apparently people are paying it. I don’t want one bad enough to pay more then it’s worth but if I could find one at a reasonable price I’d buy it.

You're going to have to rely on luck for that one. The market is whacked right now. People are getting something like 10 cents each for small pistol primers, or more.

What's an acceptable price?

There are several on Armslist, seem to range from $1200 to over $3K depending on brace, mags, and accessories included or how tarted up and "tacticool" they are.

No guarantee the best deal is going to be near you or willing to ship though.

I’d pay the normal street price of 1800ish. They’d either have to be in my state or willing to ship. I did look on armslist but most say they won’t ship.

Im just after a plain Jane mpx k the way it comes from sig with the folding brace.

Jnull I don't remember if you have to select "will not ship," or if that's a default when placing an ad.

I've had stuff shipped from folks who's ads said "No" next to the little shipping label and icon. Can't hurt to ask.

I couldn’t tell you I’ve never bought anything off armslist but that’s a good point, thanks.

Pandemic, election, free money in my pocket buying going on. Easy time to sell stuff. I see $2200 on gun deals.

It’s definitely a sellers market. The only thing I saw on gun.deals was a couple copperheads and the listings are a few months old.

If you don't want to pay panic pricing then you will have to wait. Even then the MPXs have been very popular with demand outstripping supply.

Good luck.

Yea if I can’t find one for a descent price I’ll wait or maybe pick up something else. For the price the sigs are currently bringing I can get a B&T APC9 or an mp5 clone. Hell a PTR 9 is less then 2k and both of those mentioned are already setup with a 3 lug.

I say buy the PTR9 and play John McClain. The MPX is a really cool gun but I'm not sure if it's $1000 cooler than an MP5.

Can’t say I disagree. I own zero braced pistols and the mpx appealed to me due to the slimness and folding brace but there are cheaper options that are also delayed roller.

They make similar stocks... err braces for MP5s too. But it is definitely a bit on the girthy side for a subgun.

LGS has them in stock. Seriously considering. Really wanted a Micro Scorpion, but they are impossible to find. (Cheap Magpul mags and super compact.)

Anyone shot the MPX suppressed? I shoot lefty, so I get extra gas face on some guns. Probably better than the blow back CZ.

Also, really want a compact 9. Love my AR9, but want a folder. These guns above all others suck my ammo like a damn belt fed. If Biden wins it'll be an expensive paperweight as ammo prices will never recover.

I did eye fuck the akv and arv, I like that they take scorpion mags.

I just picked up an mpx off Gunbroker, bid on one and ended up getting it for a price I’m happy with so fuck it. Might as well get what I want. Now I need to put a wolfman in jail.

I’m curious what the prices are locally

Visited LGS today. MPX k was $1850.

Controls and handling are standard AR and ambi. Trigger is surprisingly good, tickling excellent. Would buy in a heartbeat. Downsides to me are the proprietary mags and stupid Sig muzzle thread pitch.

Ended up comparing head to head with a B&T APC9 G $2500. Controls similar to AR, trigger is OK, to meh. Little take up and a decently clean break. Safety is a bit stiff and the lever is clunky. It is a 45* throw. Personally I like the forward, folding, non reciprocating charging handle. Not just cool factor, you can clear malfunctions and charge the gun without changing your shooting grip, head or body position. Also plenty of cool factor. 😄 The charging handle also moves a deceptively short distance. Like less than 2". Weird,( but good) when your used to a big 5" AR tug

Ended up with the B&T.

GLOCK MAGS were the main reason. I have a AR9, Glocks, and a stack of ETS 33 rounders. (MPX mags are $65+ each) B&T lower is swappable for other mag styles and the upper is the serialized part. Useless for me, but cool.
Comes with sights and 3 lug suppressor mount. (Not included with MPX and odd muzzle thread)
Reviews- most of what I've read says the B&T's proprietary recoil system is the smoothest shooting SMG/Pistol out there. The gun was engineered to be controllable firing FA.
Brace- the SB brace is just way more substantial than the tail hook style on the MPX. Purely personal preference, the tailhook style looks much cooler and it's lighter.

The only two downsides are fixable. Meh trigger and the clunky safety.

In a pinch I'd pick either one in a heartbeat. The MPX k ended up sold as well. To a elderly couple with a business downtown. Think they were surprised by the WA 10 day wait...

I looked hard at an APC9 as well, can’t go wrong with em. I only own one Glock and it’s a 10mm so that wasn’t a consideration for me, if I had a stockpile of mags tho it certainly would’ve been.

The MPX K has a Timney single stage trigger thats why it’s so good. A big reason I wanted the mpx was the slim design. I think I’m going to pick up a PTR 9KT next but I put 2 more suppressors in jail last night for a total of 4 at the moment, so I’ll probably lay off expensive purchases for a minute.

Cans are addictive. Already looking at a single stage flat trigger for the APC. Will probably pull the trigger. 😁

Interesting bit. Couldn't find ANY info on my gun. According to B&T and the interwebs a 9mm version of my gun does not exist. Found out mine is a limited edition distributer request, (less than 50) and they were all pistol(no brace) configuration. My LGS ended up with extra SBT braces from B&T, rep said keep and toss em on whatever B&T they wanted. Kinda cool I lucked into one, and with a brace no less. Weird that combo isn't a option. You have to buy the APC9 PRO and then add $420 for the Glock lower.

Yea I rarely see them with the Glock lower.
