I haven't been keeping up very close, but just he news blurbs I hear... the media is NOT reporting this as an assassination attempt. I keep hearing "Shots fired near Trump". Like he was touring a shooting range and a guy was shooting in a lane or some shit.

I don't think the guy actually had a chance to shoot at Trump. Didn't I see the SS guy 1 hole in front of Trump and that guy duked it out before he ran? So technically... but this is insane that they are trying to normalize attempts on an ex-president's/presidential candidate's life.

One thing I worry about all this press is that suicide by attempted presidential assassination will get popular with the mentally disturbed in the same way school shootings got popular once it got so much publicity. On top of that, going out trying to kill one candidate or the other might even be considered virtuous due to all our bullshit political extremism and polarization.

I would/was inclined to think it was a nothing burger until you see the (possibly staged) pic of the plate carriers and gopro.

Dude posted up at hole 6, right outside the fence, with an AK and the intent to kill Trump... (and likely film his heroic action) ... Yeah.. ok. whatever they gotta tell themselves that it's not an assassination attempt.
 
When the political rhetoric gets so extreme and divisive that it's reasonable to believe that half of the country is going to see you as a hero for committing an act of domestic terrorism... well, I mean we are in a really bad spot right now.

The journalism in this country, or lack thereof, is a bigger issue and more dangerous to the Republic than immigration. Yeah.. I said it.

My biggest worry is that despite it so far being a lefty only thing, there are crazies on both sides, and if one of them on the right decides to take shots at Biden or Kamala, I doubt the news will be so low key about it.

As an update, I’ve got four of my guys going up to work on a house about six blocks away from Mar-a-Lago right now. They’re requiring photo IDs and fingerprint scans all kinds of crazy crap just to drive down the street to work true irony is ones from the Dominican Republic recently US citizen ones from Jamaica still not a citizen One is Cuban American and one just became a US citizen from Honduras And I’m talking into my cell phone while driving in the car so it’s probably misspelled in properly punctuated failures in this context and no I’m not going to correct it

journalism is awful, but you can fix that with relative ease. 12 million illegals who refuse to assimilate touch and make worse so many aspects of our lives and in the communities they live in.


these items are like skin cancer: bad journalism is some pre-cancer stuff you get burned off your face. Unchecked illegal immigration is the melanoma that spreads to the whole body and kills it too.

I think this is the goal. Both media and fed agencies working tward it. An army of wackos is easy to keep distance and avoid blame.

Read an article earlier stating the federal charge most severe and most likely to stick will be attempted homicide of a secret service agent, being Trump wasn't in view
