Trump releases a statement on social media:

I want to thank The United States Secret Service, and all of Law Enforcement, for their rapid response on the shooting that just took place in Butler, Pennsylvania. Most importantly, I want to extend my condolences to the family of the person at the Rally who was killed, and also to the family of another person that was badly injured. It is incredible that such an act can take place in our Country. Nothing is known at this time about the shooter, who is now dead. I was shot with a bullet that pierced the upper part of my right ear. I knew immediately that something was wrong in that I heard a whizzing sound, shots, and immediately felt the bullet ripping through the skin. Much bleeding took place, so I realized then what was happening. GOD BLESS AMERICA!"
 
Now Trump needs a balloon "pop" at the RNC for a Reagan-esque "Missed me" quote
 
So the common thing I’m hearing from interviews from people there that boyfriends and husbands got their woman on the ground and covered them with their body.

The other thing I see is not a huge crowd panic with people running around and over other people in the crowd screaming waving their arms around.

Conservatives can handle their business :flipoff2:

no need to carry shields around. Trump is stationary, just stage the shields. Or put up some ballistic glass or something. Seems like that would be better than the hairy palm approach

My opinion only: Trump as the showman enjoys getting the left riled. This is different, gave away his salary and was doing the job hard regardless. Try to kill him? I think he gets honestly upset and now truly focused. Sucks to be a liberal for several years.

But he is only in it for ego and his own benefit.
Just ask all the low key tds supporters in here. Why else would he be giving away his salary, risking prison time, and taking bullets.
 
Which direction did bullet travel? From behind hitting right ear and down into crowd below Trump or from in front and struck girl behind him? If you watch in slow motion you can see the girl in dark gray shirt drop really fast like she had been shot but that conflicts the street map pictures posted here.

I've been wondering if CNN hasn't in back room meetings seen the $ available by not going hard D. Let's play it "fair" to maximize the $.
