Doesn't surprise me. If you go to literally any of these animal posts on social media the top comment is usually some fucktard screeching about how animals should only be in the wild regardless of what the circumstances are. All these animal rescues that take in animals that wouldn't survive in the wild get harassed by these people constantly.

Some of it is easily explained, some of it is just what the fuck.

More than likely the state officials are compelled by state law to seize and test for rabies when it comes to wildlife. A lot of rabies laws are out of date and don't take into account the new vaccines aren't a big deal. It used to be a series of really painful shots a person had to go through and in rabies cases you have limited time to get vaxxed before rabies is fatal. Only short term way to test an animal for rabies is to sample brain tissue.

So I assume they get a report, have no choice but to follow up. That part I get. The show of force and a raid over it is fucking insane and the thing with the wife I'm guessing she probably got mouthy, understandably so, and someone heard the accent and made a remark about immigration status. Haven't really looked into the details, but that's my plausible explanation.


Went through similar bullshit when I got bit by a dog about a decade ago. Owner showed me current rabies vax certificate. I ended up going to Patient First after my hand ballooned up. Just wanted them to soak it and do a tetanus shot since I knew mine was out of date. I got hounded non fucking stop by these people to give them the customer's info of the dog that bit me. I refused, they had a county officer show up and harass me, still refused. They found out where I fucking worked, called and told them I'd been in an accident and needed contact info for my last customer. I almost lost my fucking job over that because the owner was a friend of the customers and the county came and took her dog and quarantined it for 30 days. The only reason I didn't is because it wasn't me that gave them the customer info.
