This happens all the time. You don't go across the border alone...especially to get worked on. Some of my family has done this as they have a winter place not far from where this happened. The medical offices operate on that side as it's much cheaper/easier to do business. If you need dental work, south of the border is the way to go if your willing to take a chance...

The US defeated the Indians and now we give them welfare, casinos, and land. We didn't have to do any of that.
We nuked Japan and then gave them money to rebuild. Same with every other nation we go at, along comes the money and nice guy treating afterward.

Yup, my dad's friends we stay with in Cabo do almost all of their dental work there a d some medical stuff.
