Good week. Perfect weather. Did some reading and relaxing. A little pontooning. Winterized the Whaler and got it tarped over. Finally traced down a problem with the buggy that has been haunting me. Lost a cap off a vacuum tube on the back of the engine. Had to pull a couple firewall panels to find it.
Now doing trailer prep prior to heading for Trail Hero.
 
We moved the couch into the living room and hung the tv since the last update. Resized some photos of the work.

Ran town errands after work. I still haven’t found a good time to do that after work that isn’t annoying. We’ll be dining on filets, seasoned fries, and a green salad. Rum&cokes are already flowing.

Youngest came down from Chico to pup sit tomorrow night. One of Mrs co-workers has a connection with the band Dogstar. He hooked us up with tickets. We’re going with a couple of her co-workers and their significant others. First concert we’ve been to in a looong time. 👨🏻‍🦳
 
relaxing...left work at noon yesterday and been taking it easy since...however, I did sneak out and do some minor fence work during the day, but mostly laid around watching Utube....removed barbed wire, installed gate and gate post, gate pivots on the right and goes outward.


Started by leaning extra gate against fence to see if I liked it. Then tore everything out.

spare engine has way more oil pressure than tired old engine did
now I gotta figure out what to do to assemble a new 'spare' to have on the shelf, might be parting out another broken-timing-belt-beetle

rod bearings are 20 bucks for the standard size set but 85 bucks for the undersize ones...
 
Successfully pulled the windshield out of the chop top C10 without breaking it. OEM glass with upper tint and antenna built in. I've been avoiding taking it out, but it's the cleanest way to make the repairs.

Finally picked up a T-5 last weekend for the 347 going into my f100. Deciding on hydraulic or mechanical clutch setup. Deciding on which alternator setup.

Came with a 200 mile FRPP clutch that was dropped ..I feel like I’m wasting a free clutch if I don’t give it a shot 😂

Wife is off getting hours for her counseling degree. I'm on pet (24 of em) duty till Monday. House is still a disaster from the move. Been living off takeout which is getting boring. Gyro for din and CFL's for drink.

Gotta figure out this weekend for what needs done. Sunday I got some of our maintenance folks swinging by to look at adding 220 to the pump house for welding applications. Probably start burning all of the junk wood from some reno's.

Anyways in this weekend. No plans. But I sent my shocks in for rebuild last week and don’t expect them back for 2 weeks. My ktm has a charging issue that I’m pretty sure is the stator and have parts on order. My third best option is my dads fj that runs decent haha.

So weekend plans is fucking around in the garage all weekend

Pretty damn good day. Went to a veterans stand down. Ran into 64traverer and bullshitted fer a bit, grabbed lunch and nice cigar. Always good to see him. Wife reminded me theres a high school football game tonight and wants me there. We won the game.

Home and gonna enjoy some adult tastey beverages. Gonna head to the shop and prob listen to the radio fer a bit.

Hope to wake up on time to make it to a parade. Another cool vet offered to let me ride shotgun in his 47 cj2a
