In. Wife out of town with oldest for a funeral so I canceled my weekend plans and had today off. . Youngest just went to bed. Watching WILD, which I know is going to suck, staring at a pile of laundry I need to fold with more in the dryer. Tore apart my 231 to get a new planetary gear in then stopped after I cleaned my gasket material off. Intentionally left material in the case so the FordFascist could remind me how much trouble I’ll be in if silicone chunks stay in the case. I think he’s wrong.

Hanging out for week two of four to six weeks, on my Arizona property north of Kingman.
Beautiful days, cool nights.

Hey Brother, What's that seasoning? I wanna try that with string beans instead of that Okra.
Looks like Tony C's

Ok so for the meat I used the following seasoning in the first picture and then topped with butter as the final step I did use a knife and stab each fillet at least 100 times I tried with a fork before but doesn’t penetrate deep enough and I slow cooked it at 200 degrees on the grill about 25 minutes I think kinda lost track of time.

As for the vegetables I chopped up the entire onion bulbs I think they were called. I had shredded carrots chopped up the tops of the celery stalk some parsley and some fresh cilantro and parsley. I had a bowl of white rice left over from night before and dumped it in as well last item was okra I’ve never really tried cooking with it so going to need practice that squash and zucchini in on a learning curve second picture is the seasoning I had on the vegetables.

Years ago a friend of mine had his wife take her Crown Vic in for brakes at all 4 corners. They quoted her over 2K for "lifetime" replacement pads and rotors. He brought it by my place and I was able to do the job in under 3 hours with IIRC 200 in good quality parts.

Needless to say he was grateful and at the same time pretty angry at that shop who was trying to rip off his wife because she was a woman.
quote 800 dollar brake job
ends up needing calipers
****

so instead you just quote out what people will pay
there's a thousand shops out there and when the schedule's full you don't gotta waste time figuring out miserly quotes

thanks for the reminder
gonna try using one of my rattier winter coats for mowing
figure if I soak it in water before putting it on I'll have the ability to repel most mosquitoes and biting flies while not sweating my ass off in the sun
Watch out for the poison oak. Or whatever it turned out to be.

Get these off Amazon about 18 dollars each I think I have 12 of them now. Can I say will you not sweat nope but in direct 90 degree plus sun I can tolerate the Florida weather they are lightweight and I don’t get bit by misfit mosquitoes **** I even cut aluminum beams with a battery circular saw and the metal shavings don’t stick to it so I’ll say pretty good product. Get the ones with the hood some even come with the neck gaiter

Now 15 yr old Mac dog went down. The sarcoma tumor is supposed to pop and bleed him to death but this seems to be a heart attack.

He got BBQ chickers and ate it all. If he's faking it I'm going to kill him.

I didn’t use it in this dish and usually only pour on my food she’s Haitian but doesn’t like good as heat spicy as me. But I’ve gotten alot of spice flavoring in our food and not just mine. In fact she says ordering red meat from a restaurant is bland now. 🤣

update: jacket just makes mosquitoes concentrate on your face
which I guess is okay
could get one of them beekeeper hats
I watch this youtube channel of a cattle operation and most of the guys wear a net that fits over the hat and closes around their shirt collar because of nats in the summer
