Another standard Friday for me. Worked at the range in the morning, had a nice lunch at the diner with the Husky, spent some money at the gun shop, and now kicking back with a cigar. Will

have dinner with my niece later on.
 
In. Worked a half day. Dropped the Sunbeam off at the exhaust shop. Had the kiddo pick me up to take me home. She told me she got a promotion at work, so took her out to lunch to celebrate. Wife is going to work late tonight, so I'll probably clean the garage while the cars gone and start drinking.

Popped something in my good knee last night so I'm grounded and bored af. Glad I got the Walmart order done yesterday.

Listened to father lie to the caregiver about why he's back in the wheelchair and not using walker. Home Health nurses have noted he only lies to women so he now gets visits from nurse John. Big nurse John. :lmao:

Gf and I split duties today, she did the Costco/ groceries and errands run and I hammered out the yardwork, cleaned up the garage and took care of recycling/ dump run. We finished up a half hour ago so now it's margarita time, thinking I'll probably light a fire here soon before the rain comes just to get rid of a bunch of branches and stuff that are piling up. <edit> GF says it's too hot to sit around the fire, maybe she's right it's mid 80s right now.

When I was in Jr High my folks took us to the state fair rodeo where he had a concert during intermission. Man was that a long time ago, at that time it was the longest we as kids had been allowed to stay up. The next time we went it was Charlie Pride!

Wanna talk a long time ago? My Dad took us to see Charlie Pride before he made it in the music industry. A little bar in Anaconda Montana, we were the only white people there.:laughing:

Some 30 years or so later after he is a big deal my parents go to see him again and through my sister they get to go to the meet and greet. Dad kinda mentions it to him and he says "That was you" and starts laughing, "I figured you were gonna get a beating that night"

As of 1500hrs yesterday, I am on vacation for the next ten days :grinpimp:

No town run today. Mrs and her dad went to a funeral service for one of his long time friends. The groomer came for the man-eater. I ordered some 3D printed spice racks for the trailer from Etsy. Those came in today, so I got those installed.

I plan on getting up early tomorrow and get in hopefully my last mow of the season. Then I’ll probably spray a few areas that have weeds that just don’t want to die. Then if the wind cooperates, I’ll put the shade cloth back over the back deck. I think we have a skunk under the sea container again 🤢

I need to figure out what to do for dinner, Mrs is bringing her dad back to have dinner with us after they get back from the funeral. I think I’ll start with a Shiner 😊
 
called it a day on beating the trough for the auger into shape, welded ends on it and tossed it atop the car
we'll torch out the holes for the bearings when they show up, ebay's finest chinese trash, mm mmm

ran the mower for a while, a 2.0 m18 battery will ALMOST turn it over, gonna try a 5.0 nextertime
cut some concrete with the angle grinder, gotta make a shelf on a column for an arch to key into, since concrete doesn't do the tension thing at all
