Fluid transfer options

Fuel tanks are a good one. Not all fuel tanks have drains from the factory. Stationary equipment, hard to reach areas, etc.

Being able to pull fluid up and out of somewhere isn't a necessity, but it sure is nice to have a way when you need it.

Go to west marine or online, I'm for damn sure it's cheaper online, west marine is nuts on prices, and buy a vacuum pump. it's like a garden sprayer in reverse, used for sucking engine oil out of inboard boat engines. I've used it to prime diesel engines, clean out fuel tanks, change the oil in my sailboat, and as a makeshift bilge pump a few times. It's a really handy tool to have if you're creative:smokin:

Dual diagram air powered pump is what I use for just about every liquid short of gear oil.

For gear oil i use a tank fuel injection pump from a D60 military tank and its drive shaft that I spin with a cordless drill.
