Eldest Aunt was taken to the hospital over the weekend BP was 200/80! they found one of the lesser arteries 80% plugged put in a stent shes back at home. She'll be 96 on the 4th.
Other wise we've had some rain, not much else to report
 
mounted some mirrors for checking rear lights with
looked at steel stock for coupling a hyd motor to a pinion flange, decided I needed to use the saw that's elsewhere to cut the stock I have here because the saw I have here sucks and it's like a foot of 1" plate that I'm cutting through

finally got around to figuring out what inserts fit the boring bar I've had sitting on the shelf mocking me for about 15 years, they're stupid positive rake C shape ones so you only get two corners instead of a sensible 6 corners with a negative rake triangle
was able to find some on the e-gay for 3.33 each, so them's coming in the mail maybe
 
In, debating pulling the old XS650 out of the back shed. Pretty sure it needs carb work- also pretty sure I may just buy some carbs for it. Torn on what to do. Want to get it down to the garage so I can see what else it might need before I go crazy ordering shit for a 42 yo bike.

Wife has the niece/nephew up so just doing pizza for dinner.

Lived through another week of "Days of concrete" . Female dispatch got fired after getting arrested at work last friday. 56hrs and working in morn. Had tried to tell her this was the season. She had been giving "stay or go" early in day and telling Lexington plant she had no drivers to help them out. Then she "told" one of the chosen that she did not care if they could not fill orders. Was here two years and thought she invented concrete delivery. Manager was on vaca through this. Meth is a hell of a drug. 6000 thou a month base, plus bonus for yardage etc. I love watching this stuff play out.PDB's.
 
In now.

Had to haul a tractor to a shop to do a head gasket cause time is of the essence and I ain't got enough. Hauled the zero in for a recall. Sprayed a bit today. Worked on the boat a bit.

Tomorrow, on the lake. Family will be there for a couple hrs but solo for most of the day. :smokin:

Before anyone says "well you have time to be on the lake you have time to fix the tractor" nope, I only live once and I'm sick of working on shit non stop. :flipoff2:

Stopped by Oreileys to get a mechanical oil pressure line kit...as Im waiting for kid to search and search, I look behind him on the wall and go, hey, turn around...😂🙄

Tomorrow is another car bash day, washer pump on kids car, oil pressure sender on wifes, O2 sensors on my Yota...might have to huy more beer 😮

Backstory; 3 years ago we had a raccoon get in our pontoon boat and did about $7,000 worth of damage. Half the cushions were destroyed. FUCKERS!!!:mad3::mad3::mad3::flipoff::flipoff::flipoff::flipoff: At the same time our neighbors 2 doors over had maybe the same raccoon do about $5,000 worth of damage and another guy 1/4 mile away had similar damage.
So I went on a rampage trapping them. After catching 6 in 5 weeks I realized that with where we live, (woods, swamp, conservancy nature preserve) I can't eradicate them so I need to deter them. I had this idea in the back of my mind but never did anything about it..... till today.

Last night the neighbors see a mom and 4 kits in the tree by their dock. This morning, they see mom and kits coming out of another neighbor's pontoon boat and wander across our yards and out of sight. Sure nuff, we had paw prints in our boat today. :eek:

So I put my plan in action. I have an old electric fence module that we had for our garden. It's the size for critters like rabbits & such. I built a PVC gate for the entrance to my dock and covered it with wire mesh. A 10" x 48" aluminum plate screwed to the dock and a landscape timer to turn it on and off rounds out the project.

I just wish I had a trail cam to watch the action. :lmao:

Other than that, it's been a basic week.
 
In. We tried to take a trip to do some pokin round Appalachia, but the chillin was crying an awful lot so we turned back a few hrs in. Got some work done in the shop, and lined up a job for tomorrow. So it's all good it will be a productive weekend anyway.
 
In. Drinking cheap beer and debating on some Glenfiddich. Also because it's been warm in vt and I've no ac the doors and windows have been open. Apparently I now need to bait some ants that are wandering in.
