***Fail***

Yea, that definitely looks Rivian-ish. But the other pic, all silver and no black roof- and at that angle looks like Miss Cyber Truckez.
Well the one I posted is a Rivian lol. I was putting it there for the comparison against the silver Monkfish

Hey!

Worse than you know but rides better than anything. That is one thing they nail, it’s sooo smooth. When it works.

It’s not

In my defense, oooo the Wagoneer is back! 3 weeks late… WTF did they attempt to build? Is that painters tape holding the steering wheel on?
Update. I posted this at 7:19am. At 8:30 I left to hit Academy and it wouldn’t start. It’s dead in my driveway. :lmao:  :shaking::frown::bawling:

Isnt everything jeep makes except the wrangler on a dodge platform? I saw a durango and a grand cherokee parked side by side and could barely see a difference.
A lot are on the fiat chassis. I think the durango and GC share a lot of parts so probably.

New Grand Cherokees are built on the WL platform. Durangos are still built on the WK2 platform that the last model of the Grand Cherokee was built on. Wrangler and Gladiator are all their own, while the other smaller Jeep models use various Stellantis platforms.

Also, I've kinda become disenfranchised with all new vehicles to the point I just dont care anything about any of them.
Straight up, no sarcasim, **** all new vehicles.

Gtm800 is newer than i ever wanted to own, i love and hate it. Its the end of basic big block motors and axles and well to far into ******ed over computerized everything.

Squids car (2011 malibu) was 1.5hr, 14 bolts, 10 trim poppers and cycle the front tires to change the head lights.

Pontiac Torrent (Chevy Equinox) - 8 hours to do the heater core. Everything from the firewall to the 2nd row seats come out.

****ing pain in the ****.
The front ball joints need to come out. Remove the rear third member and driveshaft and work your way forward, you'll get to the ball joints eventually as illustrated in Figure 87-22 on page 394 of the procedure in the dedicated "How To Replace Ball Joints" manual up there on the top shelf. Be sure to replace all of the cup holders to calibrate the ball joints upon completion.

Same for an 07 Hyundai Santa fe, clean firewall to rear seat, I took 3 days to it, cause I'm retired and **** working that hard. If wasn't my 87 year old fathers I wouldn't have done it at all, job cost more than the car is worth.

Japanese heater core? Some of the worst are GM and jeep/dodge.
Everyone does it these days but the Japanese did it first. IDK maybe the euros started doing it the same time. Domestics were mostly a glovebox deal until the mid 90s depending on platform.
Some Gm SUVs are 2+ hours for headlight bulbs. Try explaining that to their broke**** 3rd owner
I assume his Malibu is like an 07 or whatever generation it was was that having to tear the front down to do a light was became mainstream. Whole lot of OEMs went that route shortly after.

Then you have the GMT800 Yukon XL I had, pull 2 pins and change the headlight then push the pins back in and you are done. No tools and maybe 5 minutes to do both high beam and low beam on each side.
Don't the pins hit the upper radiator shroud? On my 02 & 03 it did. I trimmed the shroud.

I will take heater core jobs on any 2nd gen + ram, or any 99ish on Grand Cherokee, hell even the jelly been Fords aren't that bad. Couple electric connectors on either side of the dash, steering column, and the whole thing comes out in one chunk. They pay good and it isn't hard work.

There are a ton of hard to change heater cores. Dentside fords with AC I seem to remember being a PITA. I'm just saying on the headlights I was surprised when I went to change them before.
Not when you put an access door in the top of the AC box under the hood like Ford should have. :flipoff2:
