I think Edison Motors has the best idea for EV heavy duty trucks. Full EV is not going to be a viable option in our lifetimes, the battery technology just isn't there yet.

Other than special use case, it isn't a reasonable goal.

There's just no point

I'm a big fan of Edison motors. He's forward thinking, but also very realistic. Thier trucks are definitely the best idea for most any use.

I do see a place for full ev if they get battery swapping down. I've seen some stuff in China where the pack just swaps like a ****ing M18. That would be great for lots of **** like busses, trash trucks, ect, heck maybe even log trucks if they could set up a battery station at the mill. Also good for keeping batteries maintenance up. Any battery that has signs of issues can be pulled from rotation and repaired, or recycled.

Another bonus is say a battery dies from sitting in traffic, they could bring one out and swap it relatively easy compared to charging or towing a fully load semi
